HTTPS Conversion
Are you looking to convert your site from a non-HTTPS property to a full HTTPS property? Did you know that there is more involved than just using Let's Encrypt or installing an HTTPS Certificate?
Converting your site to serve content over an HTTPS property will give your users the ability to connect securely to your site, provide you with valuable bonuses for serving your content over a secure connection, and can improve your conversion rate (as users are more apt to trust their content over a secure connection).
We offer HTTPS Migration Services for $125/hr, and based on forum size the general quote is 1-2 hours. If you're looking to migrate an entire site (and not just a UBB.threads forum) the quote will vary based on the size of the site.
The getting started checklist for a HTTPS site conversion is as follows:
• Obtain and Install an HTTPS Certificate on your site (either through a supported CDN such as CloudFlare, a free certificate authority such as Let's Encrypt, or an HTTPS/SSL Certificate Authority).
• Update all URLs on your site, forums, and database from the non-HTTPS (http://) property to the HTTPS property (https://) (including any Homepage, Contact, Referrer, Forum Header/Footers, etc)
• Run a Database Query on all posts, private messages, user avatars, profile comments tables to replace non-HTTPS (http://) URLs to the HTTPS property
• Configure any needed HTTP to HTTPS redirects in your .htaccess file to forward users from the non-HTTPS property to the HTTPS property.
• Update any external plugins to ensure they are HTTPS compliant (Shareaholic, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, any UBB.threads Custom Tags)
• If you have any non-UBB.threads content you'll want to make sure all of those links are also producing links to the HTTPS property.
• Test, test, test, test your site to ensure everything is functioning over HTTPS.
You will also want to update your URLs in Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools, update any Ads placed on your website (such as Google Adsense), and update any website Analytics or Site Statistics code.

Note · Video Tags
If you utilize Video Tags within UBB.threads we recommend that you run the Posts Content Rebuilder in your UBB.threads Control Panel; this will parse all old posts through any changed UBBCode and Custom Tags.
